What You Want
I’ve Got It
If you want a happier relationship with your dog, then I’ve got a triple-whammy power to help you:
- I’ve got experience–forty plus years of owning, loving, and training dogs.
- I’ve got knowledge—while you’re taking care of your business, I’m studying dog behavior and training techniques mentored by national and international experts.
- I’ve got passion—nothing makes me happier than seeing my students succeed.

What You Need
I Know It
Certified Professional Dog Trainer: wondering what that means? My knowledge was assessed by the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers in a variety of ways. I had to pass a grueling three-hour, multiple choice exam. Big deal. Yes, it was!
Bigger deal: Before I could sit for the exam, I had to certify I taught dog training to individuals and classes for 300 hours. I was initially certified in 2012. Since then, I’ve instructed thousands of hours more. This is my profession, not my hobby.
Always learning more: Every three years, I have to re-certify by earning at least 36 hours of Continuing Education. I easily exceed that through attending in-person seminars, watching video classes, taking in-person and on-line courses, and listening to podcasts.
Other credentials:
- I’m a Professional Member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.
- I’m an approved Tester for the AKC Canine Good Citizen program and all its wonderful adjuncts.
- I’m an approved Tester/Observer for the Alliance of Therapy Dogs.
- I’m an approved Judge for WCRL Rally.
- I’m an approved Rep for CDSP Obedience.

Dog Sports: Rally, Obedience, Musical Freestyle & more
I Do It
I play the sports I teach. When I step into the ring, my heart pounds the same way yours does. And, I love it when my students achieve their goals.
That’s my goal—to help you achieve your goal.
